So I was thinking about what to write in today's blog and for some reason I started to wonder what is the point of blogging anyway?
Is the goal to get funding for our club? is it to attract attention? is it to hear myself ramble? is it to build a loyal following? is it to talk to the members and put up pictures for them to look at and share with their friends? Is it to spread the word about Steve's Club?
Honestly, none of those questions are close and sufficiently explain the reason we have a dynamic blog rather than a static website that reads like a brochure. The main reason I do this is to give you a little insight into what we do here everyday in our very tiny community.
Yes, of course we CrossFit and put young boys and girls from Camden, NJ through tough workouts to get them into better shape...but more than that we work really hard to build a positive environment where young people like to come to just get a away from it all.
And as odd as it may seem many of our members do not have such places to go (whether in their own house or in their neighborhood) to just get away from the crazy and dangerous world they just happen to grow up in.
So this blog is meant to share our small world here at Steve's Club with your world outside of Steve' Club.
And of course as we know pictures, blog posts and videos can only tell a part of the full story.
The full story is we have and continue to create a magical place for kids to come, learn new skills, get FIT, live and eat healthy, share stories, network with their peers, feel good about themselves, and most importantly have fun while forgetting about the realities of everyday life.
While we're limited in sharing this wonderful community on the internet, we will continue to do our best to offer you a small glimpse of what we do as we do here at Steve's Club each day.
But of course better than reading this blog, I welcome you to stop by our club anytime as my guest to meet the kids and get a firsthand experience.
