Peter Drucker was completely right when he said, "making good decisions is a crucial skill at any level." No matter who you are, regardless of your age, social status or race the decisions you make on a regular basis will have a profound impact on your life.
It could be a major decision such as deciding to pull the trigger which lands one in prison for life, or deciding to text a friend while driving which causes a car accident that kills a young couple with a baby on the way or choosing the right college which leads to a successful and fullfilling career or deciding not to wear a condom which causes a 15 year old girl to get pregnant. Such major decisions can be life altering for many like a ripple effect of a rock skimming across the water of a quite lake.
Then their are minor decisions from the onset that lead to far bigger consequences than originally intended. Some good examples are the friends one decides to hang out with, the excuses one makes, the foods one decides to eat and the words and thoughts one embodies.
Regardless of the level of the decision, each decision has its own consequences and as a result has a major impact on how one's life is shaped.
Putting fate or faith aside, it really is a powerful thought when you stop to think that we are constantly faced with decisions (some more major than others) on a daily basis and each decision that we make determines what happens next in life.
While this is a very simple idea on the surface, I believe it carries a very strong message if you are interested in having a positive influence on your own life in an effort to create the future of your hopes and dreams.
Think before you act, as your decisions today will have a lasting effect on the life you live tomorrow.
